Position: Remote Evaluation Lead (Montreal)

Term:
Temporary Full‑Time (12‑month contract)

Reports to:

Director, Measurement & Evaluation

Salary Range: $66,697 – $83,372 – $100,046 (Typical hiring range: $71,000 – $79,000)

Location:

Pan‑Canadian organization with flexible work options including permanent/fully remote, hybrid, flexible hours, compressed work weeks. Head office located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Position Overview

Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC) seeks an Evaluation Lead to assist with planning, developing, and implementing corporate and program performance measurement and evaluation activities. The role will support HEC’s evaluation strategy, help design evaluation plans, and ensure data collection, analysis, and reporting meet organizational standards.

Responsibilities
  • Support implementation of HEC’s evaluation strategy and activities in alignment with the Logic Model and Performance Measurement Framework.
  • Assist programs with design and implementation of evaluation plans, intervention projects, and instrument design and analysis to ensure consistent data collection, analysis, and data management practices.
  • Participate in activities to inform new instrument design, data coding, analysis, and communication of program and corporate results, including development or adaptation of appropriate evaluation methods (e.g., social network analysis, real‑time data collection, indicator development).
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and dissemination of evaluation and performance measurement training materials and workshops.
  • Compile, analyze, and synthesize HEC’s program evaluative data to inform strategy, ongoing evaluation, and continuous quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, health sciences, or related field (economics, public administration, public health, epidemiology) with quantitative research background.
  • Credentialed Evaluator designation preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in evaluation (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods), including coding, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting data, preferably in healthcare or not‑for‑profit organization.
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred;
    Advanced C‑level English required.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and virtual environment.
  • Experience using statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS) and qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo).
  • Knowledge and experience with mixed‑methods approaches for research and evaluation planning, design, implementation, analysis, and reporting.
