Research Economist (Project-Based | Hybrid)

Saramad Think Tank is seeking a Research Economist to join our team on a project-based, hybrid basis. The role combines in-person collaboration at our office in Iran with remote work, depending on project requirements.

The successful candidate will contribute to applied economic research, policy analysis, and consulting projects. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing economic data, conducting quantitative and qualitative research, preparing policy briefs and research reports, and presenting findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.

The Research Economist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to macroeconomics, public policy, industrial development, trade, labor markets, and other economic issues. The position requires strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex economic concepts clearly.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Strong knowledge of economics, macroeconomics, and applied economic analysis.
• Experience in economic research, policy analysis, or consulting is preferred.
• Proficiency in quantitative analysis and statistics.
• Experience with statistical software such as Stata, R, Python, EViews, or similar is an advantage.
• Ability to write professional research reports and policy briefs in English.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines.
• Interest in public policy, political economy, and economic development is highly desirable.
