Responsibilities
Define and execute global publication strategy and tactical publication plan for all global studies or studies run by affiliates with a global impact, included in the Global Integrated Evidence Generation Plans (iEGPs).
Ensure timely, compliant, and impactful dissemination of scientific data through international congress presentations and international peer‑reviewed publications, aligned with the overall medical and commercial strategy of the products at global level and for the prioritized geographies.
Develop and maintain global integrated publication plans for each study run by global functions as part of IEGP, including sub‑analyses, post‑hoc analyses, and pooled data analyses of studies conducted by GMA or Global Clinical Development.
Prioritize data dissemination opportunities based on scientific value and novelty, product lifecycle stage, medical and commercial strategic needs, and geographic relevance and priorities.
Identify and recommend target international scientific congresses and coordinate affiliates’ activity in terms of targeting national congresses with “anchor” abstracts.
Oversee global abstract planning, submission timelines, and approvals.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure scientific consistency and strategic positioning of congress deliverables.
Define manuscript strategy for each study, including primary, secondary, and exploratory publications; target appropriate journals; oversee the writing, review, submission, revision, and publication process; manage relationships with external medical writers and publication vendors.
Work in close partnership with Global Evidence Generation and medical leads, Global Clinical Development functions (including Statistics and data managers), GVA team, and global commercial team.
Act as the central publication point of contact for EGP‑related studies and ensure all publication activities comply with company policies, SOPs, GPP guidelines, authorship and disclosure requirements, regulatory and ethical standards, and approval workflows.
Monitor progress, timelines, and deliverables across all EGP publications.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or MSc) in life sciences or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in pharmaceutical companies.
Strong knowledge of scientific congress landscape, peer‑reviewed journals, publication ethics, and compliance standards.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate data into impactful publication plans.
Excellent understanding of clinical development and evidence generation.
Ability to balance scientific rigor with strategic business needs.
Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Project management capability with excellent attention to detail and timelines.
Fluent in Italian and English (oral and written).
Preferred
Experience working in Global Medical Affairs functions.
Exposure to respiratory area.
Location
The role is based in Parma, Italy with a hybrid working arrangement, including remote working and working in presence.
Compensation
The minimum salary for this role is €67,120, aligned to the company’s salary framework. The final offer will reflect the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. This role is eligible to participate in an annual bonus scheme, subject to company and individual performance.
