Research and Evaluation Specialist

Position: Research and Evaluation Specialist - Hybrid Role
Become a pivotal force in Indigenous research at the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres. The hybrid Research and Evaluation Specialist will analyze data to strengthen sector advocacy and community policies.

As a leader in research and evaluation, you will guide the implementation of sector-focused studies and evaluations that are firmly rooted in Indigenous methodologies. Your work will involve data collection and analysis, reporting findings, and facilitating workshops that promote understanding of Indigenous perspectives. This role emphasizes collaborative approaches and meaningful community engagement in data practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement USAI-principled research methods for effective evaluation

• Analyze and report on program data

• Create engaging research publications for broader audiences

• Conduct training sessions on evaluation approaches

• Gather community input through field research

Requirements:

• Educational background in social research or social sciences

• Three years’ experience in research with Indigenous communities

• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis

• Strong organizational and planning capabilities

• Proficient communication skills for diverse audiences

Lead dynamic research and evaluation efforts to enhance policy development for Indigenous communities and ensure their voices are heard.
