Job SummaryThe Climate Justice:
Values and Vulnerability Lab (CJV²), is a collaborative research initiative to investigate how diverse coastal and sea-facing populations (past and present) relate to the impacts of climate change such as warming oceans and rising sea levels. Reporting to and working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), the Research Associate will support the researchers and research activities in CJV², including supporting the development students.
- Conduct comprehensive literature and subject‑area reviews, synthesizing findings, identifying gaps in knowledge, and managing references and citations.
- Support research project coordination by tracking timelines and deliverables, managing communications, organizing meetings, documenting notes, and maintaining project files.
- Assist with community engagement and knowledge‑mobilization activities, including media and communications support related to research initiatives.
- Provide support for student training and mentorship activities, as required, to facilitate effective participation in research projects.
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
