Remote Agronomist for Syngenta

Syngenta Canada is searching for an Agronomist AGH Solanaceae to be based in Leamington, Ontario. The successful candidate will work alongside the Global Technical Expert to manage trials and analyze data, contributing to crucial decisions in variety advancement. Applicants should possess skills in protected cultivation and crop management to propel commercial success in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute PLC6 trials in glasshouse settings

• Implement and assess trial protocols thoroughly

• Document crop growth stages and monitor developments

• Process and analyze data for insightful reports

• Collaborate with stakeholders and coordinate grower demonstrations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field

• Experience in protected cultivation and greenhouse systems

• Knowledge of plant physiology and crop management

• Familiarity with hydroponics is advantageous

• Strong data collection experience required
