This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced researcher to contribute to impactful projects while developing their expertise in a collaborative, inclusive and values-driven environment.

You will lead and support research projects exploring the factors that influence children and young people's mental health and wellbeing, using large-scale datasets, statistical analysis and evidence-based research methods. You'll work closely with researchers, schools and other partners to generate insights, evaluate outcomes and share findings that help improve practice, services and policy.

We are seeking a dedicated researcher with a PhD or relevant postgraduate qualification alongside experience of independently leading research projects.

Essential skills and experience:

• Advanced statistical analysis using R, STATA, or similar software.
• Experience managing and analysing large-scale longitudinal datasets.
• Experience producing research reports, publications and evidence summaries.
• Confidence in project management, research design and data collection.
• Advanced IT and data management skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Hours: full-time (35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.

Salary: £40,662 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

Location: hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London office (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH
) / our Northern Hub (Colony, 3.07 Jactin House, 24 Hood Street, Ancoats Urban Village, Manchester M4 6WX
).

Contract type: fixed-term (maternity cover November 2026 to November 2027).
