As an Editor
, you will leverage your subject-matter expertise to evaluate and refine research manuscripts, ensuring scientific accuracy and discipline-specific clarity while enhancing the quality of the language. Your efforts will help researchers around the globe publish cutting-edge research in prestigious journals.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
- Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
- Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
- Edit manuscripts such that the final text meets the highest standards of academic writing, is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences. Adhere to job‑specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.
Qualifications and Prerequisites
- A PhD degree in Nuclear Medicine
or Medical Physics (
mandatory
) - Strong publication record, with 5–10 or more first-author publications (
mandatory
) - Prior peer review experience
- Ability to critically assess study design, methodology, statistics, and interpretation
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific content and ensure discipline‑specific accuracy.
- Excellent written English and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.
