About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist to join their fully remote research team, supporting projects vital to advancing genomic research. This position is crucial for analyzing large-scale genomic datasets, identifying significant biological patterns, and developing predictive models that drive scientific discovery. Working remotely, you will collaborate with a diverse group of bioinformaticians, data scientists, and wet-lab researchers to translate complex biological questions into computational analyses.

- Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of genomic and transcriptomic datasets.
- Design and build predictive models using machine learning techniques for biological applications.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists to design studies and interpret results.
- Maintain and manage large genomic databases and computational resources.
- Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries.
- Strong experience with NGS data analysis (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-seq).
- Familiarity with statistical genetics and machine learning algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote , collaborative environment.
