• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology research.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
• Expertise in analyzing large biological datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Familiarity with major biological databases and computational biology tools and platforms.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills, essential for remote work across different regions including Northern Cape.
