Senior Research Scientist - Pharmacology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Research Scientist with a specialization in Pharmacology to join their global research team. This is a fully remote opportunity, enabling you to contribute advanced pharmacological expertise from anywhere. You will be instrumental in designing and executing critical studies to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of action of novel drug candidates. This role requires a deep understanding of preclinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.

You will collaborate closely with a distributed team of chemists, biologists, and toxicologists, driving the progression of drug candidates through the discovery pipeline and making significant contributions to therapeutic innovation.

• Design and manage preclinical pharmacology studies, including in vitro and in vivo models.
• Evaluate the efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of action of new chemical entities and biologics.
• Develop and validate bioassays for drug discovery and development programs.
• Analyze and interpret pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) data.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions by preparing study reports and summaries.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

• PhD in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in drug discovery/development, with a strong focus on pharmacology.
• Extensive experience with various in vitro and in vivo pharmacology models and study designs.
• Proficiency in PK/PD analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead research projects and work effectively in a fully remote environment.
