Biostatistician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Biostatistician to join their data science and research team, operating remotely with key touchpoints in Paarl . This role is instrumental in designing clinical trials, analyzing complex biological and clinical data, and interpreting statistical results to support drug development and regulatory submissions. You will collaborate closely with clinical scientists, data managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the integrity and validity of study outcomes.

• Design statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical trials and observational studies.
• Perform statistical analysis of clinical trial data using SAS, R, or similar statistical software.
• Interpret statistical results and collaborate with medical and scientific teams to generate study reports and publications.
• Provide statistical input for study protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and other study-related documents.
• Ensure statistical methodologies and analyses adhere to relevant guidelines and industry best practices.

• Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS and/or R.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design and statistical methodologies applicable to drug development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex statistical concepts clearly.
