Process Development Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Process Development Scientist to join their innovative, fully remote R&D team. This role is critical in developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes for novel products. You will apply your expertise in chemical engineering, process chemistry, and analytical techniques to ensure efficient, robust, and cost-effective production. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and research teams to translate laboratory discoveries into viable commercial processes.

• Develop and optimize chemical synthesis or manufacturing processes for new products.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate process parameters, identify critical control points, and improve yields and purity.
• Scale up processes from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing scales.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for raw material, in-process, and finished product testing.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotech industry.
• Strong understanding of process chemistry, scale-up principles, and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with process modeling and simulation software is a plus.
