About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation development of new personal care products, including concepts, prototypes, and production-scale formulations.

• Optimize existing formulations for improved stability, efficacy, sensory attributes, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct comprehensive stability testing, safety assessments, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all formulations comply with relevant global regulations and internal quality standards.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, in a remote setting.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and scientific advancements in personal care formulation.
• Mentor junior chemists and contribute to the overall scientific knowledge base of the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a closely related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in cosmetic formulation, with a strong focus on personal care products.
• Proven experience in developing and launching successful skincare, haircare, or body care products.
• In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, their functions, interactions, and safety profiles.
• Familiarity with stability testing methodologies, claim substantiation, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU, global standards).
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for remote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and data analysis.
• Fluency in English is required.
