About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a talented Bioinformatics Scientist to join their progressive research and development department. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable bioinformatics pipelines for processing and analyzing large-scale genomic and transcriptomic data.
- Implement and validate algorithms for data analysis, variant calling, and functional genomics.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists and computational biologists to interpret results and generate hypotheses.
- Develop visualization tools and methods to effectively communicate complex data findings.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of data management strategies for research projects.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics tools, algorithms, and biological research trends.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in bioinformatics analysis, particularly with next‑generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Perl, and scripting languages like Bash.
- Experience with common bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., Bioconductor, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser).
- Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning applications in biology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote collaborative environment.
