Lead Scientist - Chemical Biology

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Scientist in Chemical Biology to spearhead innovative research programs. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to drive significant scientific advancements from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing novel chemical tools to probe biological systems, designing assays, and leading a team of scientists in exploring new therapeutic modalities.

• Lead the design and synthesis of novel chemical probes for biological research.

• Manage and mentor a team of remote research scientists, guiding their project work and career development.
• Analyze and interpret complex data from chemical and biological experiments.
• Oversee the integration of chemical biology approaches into broader drug discovery programs.
• Author high-quality scientific publications and present research findings at international meetings.

• Ph.D. in Chemical Biology , Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral or industry experience with a focus on chemical biology.
• Proven expertise in designing and synthesizing small molecules and chemical probes.
• Strong understanding of molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in managing remote teams.
