About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Process Development Scientist to join their cutting-edge R&D team, working entirely remotely. This role will focus on the research, design, and piloting of novel chemical processes and synthetic routes for new product development. - Lead the research and development of new chemical processes, from bench-scale experimentation to pilot studies.
- Design and execute complex experiments, meticulously analyzing results to optimize reaction conditions, yields, and purity.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for characterizing intermediates and final products.
- Prepare detailed research reports, scientific publications, and internal documentation on process development findings.
- Collaborate virtually with chemists, engineers, and project managers across different departments and regions.
- Troubleshoot challenges in synthesis and process scale-up, proposing creative and effective solutions.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development, synthetic chemistry, or chemical R&D.
- Proven expertise in experimental design (DoE) and optimization of chemical reactions.
- Proficiency with laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, NMR).
- Strong theoretical knowledge of organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and physical chemistry.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
