About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Senior Neuroscientist to join their world-class research division, operating in a remote-first capacity. This role is fundamental to unraveling the complexities of the nervous system and developing novel treatments for neurological disorders. You will lead groundbreaking research initiatives, design intricate experimental protocols, and analyze complex neuroscience data. The ideal candidate possesses a deep expertise in neuroscience, a proven track record of impactful research, and thrives in a collaborative, remote environment, utilizing advanced techniques and computational tools to explore the frontiers of brain science.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute advanced research projects investigating neural circuits, synaptic function, and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Employ a range of techniques including electrophysiology, molecular biology, optogenetics, and advanced imaging.
- Analyze complex neuroscience datasets, utilizing statistical methods and computational tools.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, and engineers to advance research goals.
- Contribute to the interpretation of results and the development of hypotheses for future studies.
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at international scientific meetings.
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of postdoctoral or independent research experience in neuroscience.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two core areas of neuroscience research (e.g., molecular, cellular, systems, computational).
- Proficiency with relevant experimental techniques and data analysis software.
- Strong understanding of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and neuropharmacology.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a strong publication record.
