Senior Research Fellow - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Our client is looking for an exceptional Senior Research Fellow to join their pioneering drug discovery team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This position is integral to identifying and validating novel drug targets and developing innovative therapeutic strategies to address unmet medical needs. You will leverage your extensive scientific expertise to drive research projects forward, working independently and collaboratively with a global, distributed team.

• Design and execute hypothesis-driven research projects focused on identifying and validating new drug targets in specified therapeutic areas.
• Utilize a range of biological assays and screening technologies to assess compound efficacy and mechanism of action.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret findings, and develop strategic recommendations for project progression.
• Collaborate remotely with medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and other scientists to advance drug candidates.
• Contribute to the preparation of research reports, scientific publications, and regulatory submission documents.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in drug discovery and relevant therapeutic fields.

• PhD in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience in pharmaceutical research, with a strong emphasis on drug discovery .
• Proven expertise in designing and performing in vitro and ex vivo assays relevant to target validation and compound screening.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple research projects simultaneously in a remote setting .
