About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Specialty Chemicals Engineer to join their pioneering, fully remote research and development team. This role focuses on the design, synthesis, and application of novel specialty chemicals for diverse industrial applications. You will contribute to all phases of product development, from conceptualization and lab-scale synthesis to process optimization and scale-up support, all within a virtual collaboration framework.

- Research, design, and develop new specialty chemical formulations and products to meet market demands.
- Conduct laboratory experiments to synthesize, characterize, and test chemical compounds and formulations.
- Optimize existing chemical processes for improved yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical support for the scale-up and manufacturing of new specialty chemicals.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to understand customer needs and market trends.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, patent applications, and product literature.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Organic/Materials Chemistry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and synthesis of specialty chemicals.
- Strong background in organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, or materials science.
- Experience with analytical techniques such as NMR, GC-MS, HPLC, and DSC.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote research environment.
