About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Product Development Scientist to join their dedicated R&D team, working remotely to drive the creation of new and improved FMCG products. This role is crucial for conceptualizing, formulating, and testing new products, ensuring they meet consumer needs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the competitive edge of our client's diverse product range in the global FMCG market .
The remote aspect of this role allows for flexible work arrangements while contributing to impactful product innovation.
- Conduct research and development for new FMCG product formulations , focusing on innovation and consumer trends.
- Perform laboratory experiments, pilot-scale trials, and shelf-life studies to validate product stability and efficacy.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing clear and concise reports on findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with marketing and regulatory affairs teams to ensure products meet market demands and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot formulation issues and optimize existing product lines for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Master's or PhD degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development , specifically within the FMCG sector .
- Strong understanding of formulation science, ingredient functionality, and processing technologies.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote research setting.
