About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Research Fellow to lead innovative projects in Environmental Science , operating in a fully remote capacity from anywhere in South Africa . This role focuses on critical research areas such as climate change mitigation, conservation biology, and sustainable resource management. You will spearhead the design and execution of complex research studies, analyze extensive datasets, and publish influential findings in top-tier scientific journals.

• Design, lead, and manage complex research projects in specified areas of environmental science .

• Secure research funding through grant applications and proposal development.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers and postgraduate students.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations.

• Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Ecology, Conservation Biology, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral research experience with a strong publication record.
• Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and research methodologies within environmental studies.
• Proven ability to independently design, conduct, and lead significant research projects.
• Experience in securing competitive research grants and managing research budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
