Research Scientist - Genetics & Genomics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist with expertise in Genetics & Genomics to join their remote research team. You will leverage state-of-the-art genomic technologies and computational tools to design and execute research projects, analyze large-scale datasets, and interpret findings. • Design and implement genetic and genomic studies using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
• Analyze and interpret large-scale genomic datasets, including whole-genome, exome, and RNA-Seq data.
• Develop and apply bioinformatics pipelines and statistical methods for genetic analysis.
• Identify genetic variants associated with disease phenotypes and drug response.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on research projects.
• Present research findings at scientific meetings and contribute to publications.

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant research experience, preferably with a focus on human genetics or disease genomics.
• Proficiency in NGS data analysis tools and workflows (e.g., GATK, VCF analysis).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with statistical genetics methods and interpretation of genetic association studies.
