About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Research Assistant to join their vibrant Molecular Biology team in Tembisa . - Perform routine laboratory procedures, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, and cell culture.
- Assist in the design, execution, and troubleshooting of experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and records of experimental procedures and results.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media required for experimental protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
- Contribute to data analysis and the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life science field.
- Previous laboratory experience, preferably in a research or academic setting.
- Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in experimental execution and record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with data analysis software and reporting tools is a plus.
