About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computational Biologist to join their pioneering research team in Centurion . This role is crucial for analyzing large-scale biological datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics data, to uncover novel insights and drive biological discoveries. You will be responsible for developing and applying advanced computational methods, algorithms, and statistical models to address complex biological questions.

• Analyze and interpret large, complex biological datasets using advanced computational and statistical techniques.

• Identify novel biological pathways, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets based on data analysis.

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational biology or bioinformatics research.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Strong experience with the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic data.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
