About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join their innovative and fully remote research team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing large-scale biological datasets, developing novel computational methods, and extracting meaningful insights to drive discovery in areas such as genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. You will work collaboratively with bench scientists and other computational specialists to tackle complex biological questions and contribute to the advancement of groundbreaking research initiatives.

- Develop, implement, and optimize computational pipelines for the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., RNA-Seq, WGS, ChIP-Seq).
- Design and perform statistical analyses to identify significant biological patterns and biomarkers from complex datasets.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists to interpret results and guide future research directions.
- Develop and maintain scalable codebases and databases for biological data management and analysis.
- Contribute to the dissemination of findings through publications, presentations, and internal reports.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology, with a focus on analyzing large biological datasets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries and tools.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms applicable to biological data.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
