Senior Research Assistant - Pharmacology

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Research Assistant with a specialization in Pharmacology to join their dynamic research and development team in Bloemfontein . This hybrid role is crucial for supporting various preclinical drug discovery and development projects. You will be involved in designing, executing, and analyzing experiments related to drug efficacy, safety, and mechanism of action. • Perform in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess drug efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.
• Conduct cellular assays, receptor binding studies, and biochemical assays as required.
• Accurately record, analyze, and interpret experimental data, preparing reports for senior researchers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in the development and validation of new experimental protocols.
• Collaborate with team members on project goals and troubleshoot experimental challenges.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant laboratory experience in pharmacology research.
• Proficiency in performing various in vitro and potentially in vivo pharmacological assays.
• Experience with data analysis software and maintaining detailed experimental records.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
