Research Chemical Engineer

Our client is seeking an innovative Research Chemical Engineer to join their advanced R&D team, with a hybrid work model based in Mahikeng . You will be at the forefront of developing novel chemical processes and technologies, from conceptualization through to pilot-scale demonstration. • Conduct fundamental and applied research in chemical reaction engineering, catalysis, and separation processes.
• Design and execute laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to test new concepts and optimize parameters.
• Develop mathematical models and simulations to predict process behavior and performance.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and generate comprehensive research reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into commercially viable technologies.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in chemical engineering.

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a strong research focus.
• Proven experience in laboratory research, experimental design, and data analysis.
• Expertise in at least one core area of chemical engineering (e.g., reaction engineering, thermodynamics, transport phenomena).
• Proficiency with research-grade instrumentation, modeling software, and statistical tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and scientific communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team setting.
