Senior Bioinformatician - Genomics

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatician to join their growing genomics research team. This is a remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise in computational biology and data analysis to drive discoveries in genetic research. You will be responsible for developing and applying computational methods to analyze large-scale genomic datasets, identify patterns, and contribute to a deeper understanding of biological systems.

• Develop, implement, and maintain computational pipelines for the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-seq).
• Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of genomic data to identify genetic variations, gene expression patterns, and functional pathways.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists and geneticists to design studies and interpret results in a biological context.
• Build and manage databases for storing and querying genomic information.
• Contribute to the development of new algorithms and software tools for bioinformatics analysis.
• Present findings to research teams and contribute to scientific publications and grant proposals.

• PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational genomics.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python, R, and Perl.
• Strong experience with command-line tools, scripting, and high-performance computing environments.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applicable to biological data.
