Senior Research Scientist - Genomics

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Research Scientist specializing in Genomics to join their dynamic, fully remote research and development team. • Design and execute complex genomic research experiments, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis.
• Analyze large-scale genomic datasets using advanced bioinformatics tools and statistical methods to identify significant genetic variations and patterns.
• Develop and optimize novel genomic assays and protocols for various applications, such as disease diagnostics and drug discovery.
• Interpret experimental results, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose innovative solutions to research problems.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, including bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, and data scientists, to achieve project milestones.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in genomics, sequencing technologies, and relevant scientific literature.

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in genomics and associated wet-lab techniques.
• Demonstrated expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and data analysis pipelines.
• Proficiency with bioinformatics software, scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), and statistical analysis tools.
• Experience in designing and validating diagnostic or research assays is highly desirable.
