Product Engineer, Research Scientist
Our client is looking for an innovative and highly skilled Senior FMCG Product Developer to drive the creation and enhancement of their product lines. This remote-first position is pivotal in translating market insights and consumer needs into successful, market-ready products. You will lead the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept formulation through to formulation, testing, and commercialization. This role requires a creative thinker with a strong scientific background and a passion for the FMCG industry .
You will collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and consumer expectations, all within a dynamic, virtual collaboration setting.
- Lead the ideation, development, and formulation of new FMCG products , aligning with market trends and consumer preferences.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot plant trials, and sensory evaluations to optimize product formulations and performance.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, labeling, and quality standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely product launches.
- Provide technical expertise and support for product commercialization and troubleshooting ongoing production issues.
- Master's degree or PhD in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in product development within the FMCG sector, with a focus on innovative product creation.
- Strong understanding of formulation science, ingredient functionality, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to scale-up in a remote environment.
