Research Scientist - Pharmacology

Our client is seeking a dedicated Research Scientist with expertise in pharmacology to join their team in Vereeniging. This role is focused on the preclinical evaluation of novel therapeutic compounds, contributing to the development of new medicines. You will conduct a range of in vitro and in vivo studies, analyze experimental data, and contribute to the interpretation of results. • Design and execute pharmacological studies to assess the efficacy and safety of drug candidates.
• Perform various in vitro assays, including cell-based assays and receptor binding studies.
• Conduct in vivo studies following ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, preparing detailed reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemists and project managers.

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of research experience in pharmacology, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of pharmacological techniques and models.
• Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes.
