Chemical Engineer - R&D and Innovation

Our client is actively seeking a creative and driven Chemical Engineer to join their Research & Development and Innovation team in Benoni . This role is central to developing new chemical products and processes, pushing the boundaries of current technology. You will be involved in all stages of the R&D lifecycle, from conceptualization and laboratory experimentation to pilot-scale testing and technology transfer.

The successful candidate will have a passion for innovation, strong experimental skills, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative environment focused on bringing novel chemical solutions to market within Gauteng .

• Conduct research and development activities to discover and develop new chemical products and processes.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments, pilot plant trials, and scale-up studies.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, and other R&D teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance R&D efficiency and output.
• Ensure all R&D activities are conducted safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in R&D, process development, or product innovation within the chemical industry.
• Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles and laboratory techniques.
