About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Biostatistician to join their high-performing, remote-based team. This position is critical for designing statistical analysis plans, conducting complex statistical analyses, and interpreting results for clinical trials and research projects. You will work closely with clinical operations, data management, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure the rigorous statistical integrity of study data and reports.

This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical research and development in a fully remote capacity, allowing you to work from anywhere in South Africa . We seek a quantitative expert passionate about leveraging statistical methods to drive scientific discovery and support regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical studies.
  • Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using SAS, R, or similar statistical software.
  • Interpret statistical results and collaborate with other teams to translate findings into conclusions and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical study reports (CSRs) and regulatory submission documents.
  • Ensure adherence to statistical best practices, regulatory guidelines, and company SOPs.
  • Consult with study teams on study design, sample size calculations, and data collection strategies.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Biostatistician , preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry .
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS (required) and R.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial methodologies and regulatory requirements for data analysis.
  • Experience with various statistical methods, including regression, survival analysis, and mixed models.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for a remote working environment.
