About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join their innovative Neuroscience research group, working in a fully remote capacity. This critical role will focus on exploring the complex mechanisms of neurological disorders and identifying novel therapeutic targets. You will lead research projects, design and execute sophisticated experiments, and collaborate with a global team of experts to advance the understanding and treatment of brain-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of cutting-edge research projects investigating neural circuits, neurodegenerative diseases, or psychiatric disorders.
  • Utilize a range of neurobiological techniques, including molecular biology, cell culture, advanced imaging, and behavioral assays.
  • Analyze and interpret complex neuroscientific data, drawing insightful conclusions to guide research direction.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, including other research teams and academic institutions.
  • Author high-impact scientific publications and present findings at international conferences.
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the scientific strategy of the neuroscience department.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in neuroscience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more key areas of neuroscience research (e.g., neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, synaptic plasticity).
  • Proficiency in advanced techniques relevant to neuroscience research, such as microscopy, electrophysiology, or behavioral analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to publish in reputable journals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adaptable to a remote work environment.
