Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Research Scientist specializing in Pharmacology to join their innovative, remote-first drug discovery team. This role is essential for advancing pre-clinical research, designing and interpreting complex pharmacology studies, and contributing to the development of novel therapeutics. You will collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, and toxicologists across a distributed network of scientists. This position offers the unique advantage of remote work, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking research from anywhere while maintaining a vital role in our client's pipeline.
Key Responsibilities- Design, execute, and analyze in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies to assess drug efficacy and mechanism of action.
- Develop and validate novel assays to evaluate compound activity and target engagement.
- Interpret complex experimental data, integrate findings with other discovery disciplines, and present comprehensive results.
- Contribute to the selection of candidate compounds for further development based on pharmacological profiles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in pharmacology and drug discovery.
- Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in pharmacological research, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive hands-on experience with various pharmacological models and assays (e.g., receptor binding, enzyme inhibition, cellular assays, animal models).
- Proven ability to design, execute, and interpret complex pharmacology studies.
- Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
