Research Scientist
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Toxicologist to join their expanding research and safety assessment team. This position will be fully remote, offering flexibility to contribute to critical safety evaluations from anywhere. You will be responsible for designing and executing toxicological studies, interpreting data, and assessing the safety profiles of new products and chemicals. The role requires a deep understanding of toxicological principles and regulatory guidelines, combined with strong analytical and communication skills to contribute to informed decision-making regarding product safety and development.

- Design, conduct, and interpret comprehensive toxicology studies (e.g., acute, subchronic, chronic, genotoxicity, reproductive toxicology).
- Assess the potential hazards and risks associated with chemical substances and product formulations.
- Prepare high-quality study reports, regulatory submissions, and risk assessments.
- Provide expert toxicological consultation to internal stakeholders, including R&D, regulatory affairs, and product development teams.
- Stay current with evolving toxicological methodologies, regulatory requirements, and scientific literature.
- Manage external contract research organizations (CROs) for outsourced toxicology studies.
- Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in toxicology, preferably within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or consumer product industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines (e.g., OECD, EPA, FDA).
- Proven experience in designing and executing various types of toxicology studies.
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
- Ability to critically evaluate data and provide sound scientific judgment on safety issues.
