Position: Bilingual Indonesian STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type:
Contract
Compensation: $19–$23/hour
Location:
Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Indonesian across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy
  , helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model safety in handling technical topics
  .

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry
  , biology
  , or a related field — ongoing or completed.
• Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian and business-level written English
  .
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in Indonesia or the wider Southeast Asia region.
• Expertise in radiochemistry
  , nuclear chemistry
  , or radiation physics
  .
• Depth in a specific subfield such as organic synthesis
  , molecular biology
  , or virology
  .
• Research or coursework on chemical safety and security
  .
• Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
