Computational Biologist

Our client is seeking a talented Computational Biologist to join their remote-first research team. This role is crucial for advancing our understanding of complex biological systems through the application of advanced computational methods and data analysis. You will work on diverse projects, analyzing large-scale genomic, proteomic, and other biological datasets to uncover novel insights and support drug discovery and development efforts.

• Visualize complex biological data to facilitate understanding and communication of findings.
• Contribute to the development of predictive models and machine learning approaches for biological research.
• Maintain documentation of code, methods, and analysis pipelines for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in analyzing biological data using computational and statistical techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with common bioinformatics tools, databases, and sequence analysis methods.
• Experience with high-performance computing environments and cloud computing platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting.
