Research Scientist - Bioinformatics

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist specializing in Bioinformatics for a fully remote position. This role is crucial for advancing our understanding of complex biological systems through the analysis of large-scale genomic and proteomic data. • Develop and implement sophisticated bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including WGS, WES, and RNA-Seq.
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify biological patterns, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists and clinicians to interpret results and guide research directions.
• Manage and maintain large biological datasets, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Contribute to the writing of scientific publications, grant proposals, and technical documentation.

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics , Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with programming languages such as Python or R, and proficiency with bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing diverse biological datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms relevant to biological data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
