- Develop and evaluate biological control agents and other eco-friendly pest management tactics.
- Design and manage field and laboratory experiments to assess the efficacy of pest control solutions.
- Utilize data analytics and modeling to predict pest outbreaks and inform management decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IPM solutions into broader agricultural production systems.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on entomological issues to internal teams and external partners.
- Stay current with the latest scientific advancements, regulatory changes, and industry trends in entomology and pest management.
- Mentor junior entomologists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Prepare scientific publications, technical reports, and presentations.
- Ph.D. in Entomology, Ecology, Agricultural Science, or a related field with a specialization in pest management.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in entomology research and application, with a strong focus on integrated pest management (IPM).
- Proven track record in developing innovative pest control strategies, including biological control.
- Deep understanding of insect physiology, behavior, population dynamics, and plant-insect interactions.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and pest forecasting.
- Excellent research design and experimental execution skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote setting.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and reducing pesticide reliance.
- Experience with diverse crop systems is a plus.
