Field Application Scientist

As a Field Application Scientist at Nano Temper, you will bridge the gap between cutting‑edge biophysical technology and customer success. You'll serve as a trusted scientific partner to researchers and biopharma teams, delivering expert application knowledge that brings measurable value to customers while driving product excellence. This customer‑facing role combines hands‑on technical expertise, scientific communication, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure our solutions seamlessly integrate into customer workflows and accelerate their research outcomes.

This is a remote, field‑based role supporting customers across our Mid‑Atlantic territory; candidates must live within the region.

• Lead in‑field and in‑house customer demonstrations showcasing Nano Temper solutions and applications across diverse research contexts
• Support pre‑sales technical discussions (remote and in‑person) by understanding customer needs and aligning technologies to research workflows and scientific goals
• Prepare, present, and discuss demo and evaluation reports with customers and internal stakeholders to highlight experimental outcomes and instrument performance
• Manage demo unit booking and logistics to ensure timely customer access and smooth operation
• Perform instrument installation and on‑site technical support, ensuring successful deployment and user confidence
• Deliver application‑focused and in‑field user training tailored to customer research applications

• Support and present at webinars, workshops, and scientific conferences, highlighting application insights, case studies, and experimental data
• Support conference activities, engaging attendees and providing technical expertise
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management teams to translate findings into impactful, customer‑facing content
• Contribute automation and workflow integration expertise during customer discussions to enhance system utilization and efficiency
• Support development of application notes, protocols, technical posters, and presentations to share best practices and results
• Support Sales teams by sharing technical insights and helping refine application messaging

• Gather and communicate market and application trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams on product performance feedback, feature development, and workflow improvements

• Education: PhD or MSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
• Experience: 2+ years of hands‑on laboratory experience with protein characterization, drug discovery, or biophysical techniques
