Analyze enzyme kinetics remotely as a Senior Biochemist, applying assay development expertise to enzyme activity, inhibition, and therapeutic discovery.
This contractor role supports an innovative biotechnology startup developing novel enzyme-based therapeutics. You will characterize enzyme mechanisms, develop biochemical assays, and provide rigorous data for drug candidates. The work requires expertise in enzyme kinetics, inhibitor profiling, and biochemical data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and validate biochemical activity assays
- Determine Km, Vmax, Ki, and IC50 values
- Characterize inhibitor and modulator mechanisms of action
- Optimize assays for high-throughput screening applications
- Analyze complex data and maintain accurate laboratory records
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum five years post-doctoral or industry experience
- Hands-on experience with fluorescence, luminescence, absorbance, or SPR assays
- Proficiency with Graph Pad Prism or Origin
- Fully remote work with a dedicated home office
