• We are a public benefit corporation working to improve the long term trajectory of artificial intelligence.
• Our work involves forecasting and mitigating risks of automated AI R&D, including measuring research taste of frontier models.

• You will own a research agenda end to end, developing models of AI takeoff and estimating key parameters with unique data.
• You will find the assumptions that move forecasts most and pin them down with large-scale experiments and data from frontier labs.

• Build and refine models of AI takeoff and test which parameters drive forecasts.
• Work with engineers to execute experiments at scale on frontier models and design proposals for safely pacing automated AI R&D.

• A strong track record in empirical research, such as a PhD in economics or equivalent experience.
• Experience with structural estimation, causal inference, economics of innovation, and experimental design, plus alignment with our mission.
