Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Center Research Analyst to help strengthen market intelligence across the U.S. data center industry. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced research professional who understands the business behind digital infrastructure and knows how to uncover information that cannot be found through traditional online research alone.

This is a hands-on research position that combines industry expertise, investigative analysis, and professional networking. You will have the opportunity to influence research quality, mentor fellow analysts, and develop your reputation as a knowledgeable voice in the data center market. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with industry professionals, asking thoughtful questions, and turning complex market activity into meaningful insights.

  • Remote work opportunities available throughout the United States.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with basic life insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and company-recognized holidays.
  • Home office setup assistance.
  • Opportunities for professional development, industry networking, and conference participation.
  • A senior individual contributor position with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to research strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research into U.S. data center markets, including facility development, leasing activity, pricing, capacity, and power availability.
  • Build relationships with data center operators, developers, brokers, investors, and other industry professionals to gather valuable market information.
  • Investigate emerging projects and market developments, identifying information gaps and pursuing credible sources to resolve them.
  • Evaluate market conditions, including supply and demand, infrastructure constraints, major industry participants, and expansion activity.
  • Gather intelligence through direct conversations, industry engagement, field research, and independent investigation rather than relying solely on publicly available information.
  • Verify information across multiple sources and maintain accurate, timely, and reliable research records.
  • Develop effective strategies for obtaining hard-to-find market intelligence and expanding research coverage.
  • Collaborate with fellow analysts to strengthen research practices, share industry knowledge, and improve overall data quality.
  • Provide informal mentorship and subject matter guidance to junior research professionals without formal people management responsibilities.
  • Contribute research expertise to occasional customer discussions, industry presentations, and professional events.
  • Work with research leadership to prioritize market coverage, address research gaps, and maintain high analytical standards.
Qualifications
  • Professional experience researching or analyzing the U.S. data center industry, with a strong understanding of its commercial landscape.
  • Familiarity with data center operators, developers, hyperscalers, infrastructure providers, and major U.S. markets.
  • Knowledge of data center leasing, pricing, market capacity, development activity, and industry supply-and-demand trends.
  • Proven ability to conduct primary research, investigate incomplete information, and validate findings through credible industry sources.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to engage directly with industry professionals to obtain market intelligence.
  • An existing network within the data center industry or demonstrated ability to independently develop and maintain valuable professional relationships.
  • Analytical thinking and sound judgment when assessing complex market information from multiple sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain industry trends and research findings clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide less-experienced researchers.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for U.S. industry conferences, research activities, site visits, and team collaboration.
  • Experience with commercial real estate research, data center advisory services, infrastructure market intelligence, or related industry analysis is a plus.
  • Previous industry presentation or speaking experience is beneficial but not required.
