JOB TITLE – Kitchen Steward
DEPARTMENT – Culinary
CONTRACT TYPE – Permanent
RATE OF PAY – £12.72 per hour, plus excellent company benefits
HOURS – 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
LOCATION – Newport, NP18 1HQ
What You'll Bring- Previous experience working in a kitchen or similar environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting
- Great attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Operate dish‑washing equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and cutlery are cleaned to the highest standard
- Support chefs by maintaining a continuous supply of clean cookware and utensils
- Clean kitchen equipment including stoves, grills and bain‑maries using the correct cleaning products and procedures
- Remove waste and recycling from kitchen and staff catering areas as required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health & safety throughout the kitchen
- Ensure all food outlets have the equipment they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences
