Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Overview

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at the store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers' online orders with emphasis on freshness and quality.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers' cars at pick up.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive orders from Order Selector, store items in optimal temperature zones, and ensure order accuracy.
• Follow directions and read notes in order to fulfill orders accurately.
• Maintain positive customer service to encourage repeat online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system and handle substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Keep staging areas and equipment organized and clean.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist with training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information; follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
