Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Fred Meyer

Job Responsibilities
  • Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
  • Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers’ cars when they arrive at the store for pick up.
  • Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
  • Demonstrate Fred Meyer’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector, store product in optimal temperature zones, scan and bag orders, and maintain equipment.
  • Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at time of pick up and handle calls via portable phone.
  • Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system and follow all bagging and substitution policies.
  • Assist in training new e-Commerce team members, perform opening and closing procedures, maintain staging area cleanliness, and report discrepancies.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards; manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to read shelf tags.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Previous Experience
  • Experience as a personal shopper, in a production or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
