Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger Mountain View Foods, you will select and gather products for customers’ online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. You will assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers’ cars when they arrive for pick up. You will provide a positive customer service experience and demonstrate Kroger's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper responsibilities include selecting and gathering products for customers’ online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
- Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders.
- Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
- Scan, bag, and follow bagging standards; communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick up.
- Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive customer orders from Order Selector; store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Read and follow directions in note sections; ensure item quality and freshness.
- Communicate with customers via a portable phone; respond professionally and in a timely manner.
- Retrieve orders from staging locations, verify accuracy, and load orders into customers’ cars.
- Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage repeat online shopping.
- Process orders through the POS system; follow substitutions policies for out-of-stock items.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment; report discrepancies and temperature issues to supervision.
- Inspect equipment; notify management of items in need of repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures; assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet/exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflict professionally; uphold honesty and integrity.
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed; perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to read shelf tags
- Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
