This position involves selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders with a focus on freshness and quality, assembling orders, processing coupons and payments, and delivering and loading orders to customers' cars for pickup. Responsibilities- Select and gather products for customers’ online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
- Initiate and complete the selection process for customers’ online orders.
- Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver/load orders to customers’ cars for pickup.
- Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup time.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations for easy shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive customer orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Read and follow directions provided in note sections.
- Ensure quality and freshness of all items selected.
- Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
- Retrieve each customer’s order from staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load order into customer’s car.
- Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages online shopping return.
- Process orders through the POS system.
- Follow policies to determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and temperature issues to the e-Commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to read shelf tags
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
